I love smorkin'!

I'll be the first to tell you that I love Costume Jewelry. Big, gaudy, flashy pieces have always been my thing. When I say "Costume Jewelry"- I don't mean thick, solid color plastic bracelets from Claires. I mean reasonably priced(sometimes), unique, glitzy earrings or necklaces that really define your mood at the time or just who you are. For example, my favorites are Marc Jacobs, Betsey Johnson, Melody Ehsani, Juicy Couture, Disney Couture, Han Cholo, Cubannie Links, Good Wood, Stevn Shein- Just to name a few. But seriously, I just can't get into Tarina Tarantino(her hot pink hair is tight though). Some of the Hello Kitty & Kid Robot (I can't lie, I dig this) stuff was cute but most of it just looks uber cheap. OH and I love this. I completely understand that you're paying for the name and the brand. But gimme a break, I just looked at some of the past collections and I noticed how I could make about 75% of it myself. Please let me know why I would pay $110 for THIS? I could hit up a Michaels Craft Store and make that for $6. With that being said, I am all about creative expression and I LOVE when girls make their own jewelry, eyewear, bags, clothes, etc. I respect it and I wish I had the time to be more self-involved in my clothes & accessories. I just wish she didn't make THE SAME EXACT medallion necklace every season and put a picture of Queen Alice, Wizard of Oz or whatever character/theme she's doing that time around.
